Cycling the Danube

During the conference, the representative of the European commiccion presented the Based , the European Commission publication: Danube Strategy and Action Plan which is based on the lobby activity of the ECF and its membergroups and contains the EuroVelo6 - Danube cycling route.
Adam Bodor ECF EuroVelo consultant presented the EuroVelo network and the European cycle tourism market for the audience, then the participants from the different countries discussed the challenges and opportunities for the Danube cycling route in order to prepare the implementation of the strategy. Dr Endre Horvath deputy state secretary for tourism (Hungary) expressed the importance of the European cycling route network and offered support for the coming Hungarian Presidency in 2011.
